Shalom Community is an inter religious community based organisation which was started in response to the challenges faced by people with learning disabilities who seemed to have been neglected and rejected in society. Shalom seeks to be the voice to the voiceless Shalom community began by doing outreach work with families having children with learning disabilities. Shalom Community advocates that all human beings have a better standard of life despite their learning capabilities. We make known of the gifts of people with learning disabilities (PWDLs) and making their world a better place. Shalom community creates awareness about people with learning disabilities (PWDLs) this greatly helps to highlight what it is like living with prejudice from wider society.
